How U of D Jesuit’s Spirit of Service Inspired—and Saved—Don Brezinski ‘64
In April 2022, Don Brezinski ‘64, called University of Detroit Jesuit. He mentioned that he had suffered a stroke which resulted in aphasia and affected his speech. Then, in August 2021, he had been hospitalized with COVID-19, as was his partner who died shortly after. He spent months in treatment. He didn’t think he had long to live, and said he wanted to leave a bequest because he valued his U of D Jesuit education and the emphasis on service to others. He also asked about some of his former classmates and expressed his desire to connect with them.
